Mishaka pond in Nagano prefecture.
Located in the mountains at an elevation of 1,500 meters, it is very popular for the mirror-like reflection of the water which creates a fantastical scenery.
It also inspired a famous Japanese painter several decades ago.
When I visited there it was sunny and there was no wind, so it was good condition to see the beautiful reflection.
To visit this pond wasn’t main purpose of this Nagano travel,I only stopped by there.
But the scenery was awesome than I thought, so it turned into one of the highlight of the travel.
The beauty of this pond is different depending on the season, weather and time of day.
So I’m looking forward to visit there again a few month ahead when the autumn leaves are very beautiful.
